Pet Food Assistance

The Placer SPCA offers temporary pet food assistance to Placer County residents in times of financial uncertainty. Food is provided every 30 days when available, with no appointment required. Supplies are donation-based, so brands and quantities may vary.

Eligibility must be verified at sign-up, assistance is limited to three animals, and participants must reapply annually. The amount of food provided is based on pet size and availability, at the Placer SPCA’s discretion.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years or older and a Placer County resident with valid California driver’s license or California state-issued ID
  • Complete a Pet Food Assistance Program application

TYPE OF ASSISTANCE

The Placer SPCA can assist up to three (3) approved animals.
