Community Registered Veterinary Technician – Senior (Tier 2)

The Community RVT – Senior (Tier 2) is an experienced California registered veterinary technician who provides skilled, compassionate patient care in a community clinic setting. This role independently supports wellness and sick visits, manages anesthesia and surgical nursing responsibilities, performs advanced diagnostics, and contributes to mentoring developing teammates.

Community Veterinary Assistant

The Community Veterinary Assistant supports patient care, client service, and clinical operations in a community veterinary clinic setting. This role assists veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) with patient preparation, Fear Free handling, recovery monitoring, basic nursing support, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.

Director of Community Veterinary & Surgical Services

The Director of Community Veterinary & Surgical Services provides medical leadership for the organization’s community-facing veterinary hospital. The Director ensures delivery of high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN), wellness, and outpatient services, while supervising community veterinarians and partnering with the Community Veterinary Hospital Manager to maintain efficient, client-centered operations.

Veterinarian-Surgical Focus

The primary focus of the Veterinarian-Surgical Focus will be the performance of a wide variety of surgeries to include spay and neuter for shelter and owned animals, including feral cats. On a more limited basis, the veterinarian will be responsible for the examination and medical treatment of animals under the care and custody of the PSPCA. This position must be a practicing veterinarian licensed in the State of California.

Shelter Registered Veterinary Technician – Tier 1 (Associate)

The Shelter RVT – Tier 1 (Associate) is an early-career registered veterinary technician who provides compassionate, high-quality medical care to animals in the shelter and foster program. This role supports daily shelter medical operations including examinations, diagnostics, anesthesia support, surgery preparation and recovery, daily husbandry care, documentation, and communication with animal care staff and foster caregivers.

Guest Services Associate

The Guest Services Associate serves as a primary point of contact for clients, visitors, and community members across multiple Placer SPCA locations, including the Intake Center, Adoption & Education Center, and Veterinary & Foster Care Center.
