Ways to Give End-of-Year 2024

Ways to Give: End-of-Year 2024

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of animals.  As we close 2024, please consider an additional donation to bring hope and healing to dogs, cats and critters under our care.

Here are some ways to give:

Cash:

You can bring your cash donation during our open hours to Placer SPCAs Adoption and Education Center at 200 Tahoe Ave, Roseville, CA  95678.

Checks:

You can drop your checks off or mail your checks to Placer SPCA, 200 Tahoe Ave, Roseville, CA  95678.

Online/Website:

Donations can be processed at our secure giving page using this link.

Gifts of Stock:

Donors may find that they can make a larger impact through a donation of stock instead of cash.  If you have appreciated stock or mutual fund purchased more than one year ago -transfer it to Placer SPCA – to avoid capital gains and potentially receive a charitable deduction based on the market value.  When you donate stock, please advise us of your gift so we can provide you with the necessary information to transfer the stock.

Donor Advised Funds:

Donor Advised Funds are charitable giving accounts that people establish with a community foundation or charitable branch of an investment firm.  You may contribute to your DAF as often as you like, receive immediate tax benefits and recommend grants from your fund to Placer SPCA. A gift from your DAF at year-end prepares us for another year of caring for our furry friends

Qualified Charitable Distributions:

If you are 70 ½ or older, you can transfer money from your traditional IRA or Roth IRA directly to Placer SPCA. Those funds will not be included in your adjusted gross income for tax purposes, so are appealing for many donors who do not itemize.  Transfers from your IRA can count toward your IRA’s required minimum distribution (RMD). Note: The funds must come out of your IRA by your RMD deadline, which is December 31, so leave plenty of time for the check to reach Placer SPCA and be processed prior to deadline.
