Youth for Animals Club
Youth for Animals Club is currently on hold
The Youth for Animals Club is designed for kids 9-13 years of age who want to learn how they can make a difference in the lives of animals.
Club meetings are held on two Tuesdays each month from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Placer SPCA Adoption & Education Center in Roseville. Spring Club meetings (total of seven) are held on a monthly basis and run from September through December. Once registered, the club member is enrolled for all seven club meetings.
Students in the Youth for Animals Club will learn about:
- Animal Welfare Organizations: Learn how and why animals enter shelter environments, caring for animals in shelter environments, and what they can do now to help support shelter animals;
- Proper Care and Treatment of Animals: Learn how to safely handle animals, proper nutrition and exercise, basic grooming and health, and the costs of owning a pet;
- Career Explorations in Animal Welfare;
- And more!
Please note: The Youth for Animals Club is NOT a club for children who want to pet and play with animals. This club is designed for young people who are serious about learning how to help animals and willing to work towards that goal. Each member will do at least one service project during club meetings.
Club membership is $100 and is limited to 20 students, and includes seven club meetings. Parents or guardians of club members will be required to sign an electronic liability release through Eventbrite.
