Foster Care Program
Many of the animals that come into the Placer SPCA end up needing to spend time in a foster home. While a majority of the foster needs are for kittens, our dogs, cats and critters also benefit from foster care to recover from illness or surgery, get a break from the stressful shelter environment or work on behavior issues.
To become a foster parent, please sign up for a foster orientation class listed below. Once you have attended Foster Orientation, you may immediately foster most kittens and adult cats. All other foster opportunities require additional classes. All Placer SPCA volunteers are asked to attend Volunteer Orientation as well, either before or after the Foster Orientation Class.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. All Foster Care classes are held in the Placer SPCA Education Room.
